Also known as barbut, barbuta, celata, this helmet is characterized by a rounded skull and a "t-shaped" opening for the face, which were sometimes expanded into a fully open face. This Barbute is of the style used in the mid 15th Century.
Specifications:
"It is made of hand-forged 18 gauge, low carbon mild steel. Can be made in 14 gauge on request.
