A greave is a piece of armour that protects the leg. Greaves are most commonly found in the armor of heavy infantry, usually from ancient times. Often in matched pairs, some designs protect only the lower leg or extend upwards to protect the thigh.Our hand forged greaves made from 18 gauge solid steel protect both the front and the back of the wearers leg. They are available in designs that are below the knee and also in designs that cover the knee. Length: 34.5 cms
